Police Remind Residents To Lock Their Vehicles

The Rome Police Department is reminding the public to keep their vehicles locked and to remove valuable items from their vehicles when parked.  Many thefts occurr from unlocked vehicles while they are parked in the victims driveway during the overnight hours as well as in shopping center lots while you are shopping. Items such as cell phones, GPS systems, laptop computers and womens purses are some of the favorite targets of thieves so please, lock valuables in the trunk area or secure them inside of your residence when you leave your vehicle.
